Lyngen Skiing Experience
When we first came to the Lyngen alps no other ski tracks were to be seen anywhere, but it’s now well known as one of the world’s most beautiful and unique ski destinations. However, with good local knowledge we still manage to experience that special solitude of the arctic on most days.
We were among the first companies offering guided ski touring in Lyngen, and we spend roughly two months there each year. After more than 25 years exploring the peninsula and its nearby islands by car and boat, we have built extensive knowledge of the mountains, local snow conditions, avalanche safety and the best ski descents.
There are many other areas in the north to make some turns, but when it comes to finding regularly good conditions Lyngen is the best. Not just an Insta moments – fantastic skiing on most days. That’s why we love it here. We want you to be blown away having the time of your life!
We do more than finding the best skiing each day - we host your group, take care of you and all logistics during the week. We offer guided ski touring weeks based in northern Lyngen, southern Lyngen , and by sailboat.

In the northern part of Lyngen the summits are from 500 to 1600 meters high. Our ascents start straight from sea level. From the gentle wide open slope, to winding gullies and steep couloirs, you find it all. North Lyngen is a perfect playground for all level of off-piste skiers and to learn about ski touring.
The road-system offers more options and greater flexibility to access skiing objectives than a sailboat does. Therefore we strategically base ourselves in the centre of the northern half of Lyngen. From here we reach a large variety of skiing areas by a short drive. We can also use a motor boat to access specific ski tours, if you wish to do so.
Our house is situated right on the shore, with stunning views onto some of the most impressive peaks in Lyngen. It is equipped with sauna, wireless, 4 bedrooms and large kitchen/living room. Fresh fish and shrimps for dinner we buy from the boats straight off our porch!

Arrive in Tromsø on Saturdays, latest at 6pm. Drive to Lyngen.
Sun-Fri:
6 days of ski touring. 6 nights in house. Return to Tromsö Friday afternoon.

Practical Info
Flights: You find daily flights to Tromsö from many European cities. - Via Oslo with Norwegian and SAS. - Direct flights with Wizz Air from London, Swiss Air from Zurich, Austrian Airlines from Vienna, and Lufthansa from Munich.
Rental car: You rent a car at Tromsö Airport or in town. Your guide will meet you at the air port and help to transport your luggage and the food out to Lyngen, so you only need to fit the actual persons in your car. The drive to our accommodation is 1h from Tromsö, plus a 20min ferry, plus another 20min drive.

We organize the food and drinks for the week and do the food shopping before we meet. The cost for the food you pay at the end of the week. Cooking work will be shared between all of us in the house.
Typically we work with private group of 2-6 persons, any level of skiers, but with similar ski touring ambitions and capabilities.
Two identical houses with a joint porch enables us to accommodate two groups of max 6 persons each at the time. If you wish for others to join your private group please contact us. Occasionally we have the possibility to put smaller groups together.
From our house we can reach all the peaks on the northern part of the Lyngen peninsula, as well areas on Tromsö mainland by a short ferry ride.
On a day of ski touring we might ascend anything between 500 and 1800hm, depending on what you wish to do. The majority of the ascents are typically skinning, but often with a section on boots and crampons towards the summit ridges. Descent options are often numerous and can be adapted to your wishes.
Our decisions of skiing route and which summits to climb are based on group ability, avalanche safety, weather and snow conditions.
As a company we have 25 years of experience guiding ski touring in Lyngen. We were among the first skiers to explore this area on a regular basis, when Lyngen was still completely unknown for ski touring.
All guides working with us are IFMGA qualified and have very good knowledge of the area. Conditions vary a lot locally and choosing the right location for your day of touring will make a huge difference to your experience. We are good at avoiding crowds, and optimise safety while skiing fun terrain. We take great pride in finding the best possible snow conditions each day.
