Kalymnos Rock Climbing
Apart from the number of sectors and routes in all grades, the wide variety of styles and rock types makes it possible to improve many aspects of your climbing. We work on different themes each day based on your individual strengths, weaknesses and goals.
While mostly famous for sport climbing, multi-pitch climbs are plentiful and it’s a great place to be introduced to longer routes and learn how to manage bigger walls. It is a vertical paradise, hence also suitable for those who simply wish to enjoy and explore the limestone walls and caves. Even on rainy days we can climb in many places and there are interesting tufa climbs also in the lower grades.
Based in the village of Massouri, we can access all parts of the island with a scooter, including the satellite island Telendos. Accommodation in studios for 2-4 persons is the most practical. Bars, cafes and restaurants are plentiful, and the local food is great. Climbers are the main visitors on the island and the atmosphere is inspiring. Beaches as well as crags are easily accessible and it is suitable to bring small kids along.

This private course is based around your level, goals and preferred style of climbing. We can work on the technical, tactical, physical and mental skills needed for you to progress. We will cover the safety aspects and practical details of top-roping and lead climbing. Including risk management and basic rescue techniques. We can include multi-pitch climbing as well if you wish.
Private groups can request weeks throughout the main seasons. During certain periods we also offer daily guiding and instructing in Kalymnos, from 600€ per day.

Yes. Kalymnos has routes for beginners through to advanced climbers, and private coaching can focus on technique, movement, lead skills and confidence.
May and September to November are the best periods, with good climbing temperatures and a strong island atmosphere.
Yes. Kalymnos has many multi-pitch routes, and the course can introduce longer route management if your experience and goals fit that focus.
