Sardinia, Italy
Thanks to its wild and spectacular rocky interior and coastline, Sardinia has developed a strong rock climbing culture. Great weather though out the year, high quality limestone, well maintained routes and the constant development of new climbing areas makes it a perfect destination for rock climbing courses and sunny holidays.
The mountainous island offers a wide variety of sport and adventure climbing. Many routes are generously bolted and great for starting to climb on lead and for developing multi-pitch skills.
You find excellent sport climbs on steep, slabby or vertical walls; climbing in massive caves, off the beaches or on high cliffs rising straight out of the sea.
Naturally protected adventure climbing we find in the limestone gorges. Big wall rock climbing, up to 400m on traditional gear is available at all levels.
Keen climbers also have the option of the seaside bouldering, and deep water soloing can be arranged for the brave!
The climbing holiday is based in Cala Gonone, a climbing town on the east coast of Sardinia. Other than rock climbing Cala Gonone has beautiful beaches, plenty of nice restaurants and cafés, and offers great snorkelling and diving among coral reefs.
Accommodation is arranged in apartments, hotels or camping. The area is children friendly and baby sitters can also be arranged.

Finale, Italy
The developments of climbing areas and mountain bike trails have exploded the tourism to this little town on the north Italian coast between Genova and Savona. In the surrounding areas of Finale Ligure there is more rock climbing than one can explore during a large number of holidays.
In Finale, the there are over a hundred “old-school” climbing sectors on vertical limestone looking like Swiss cheeses. Another hundred, well bolted crags with acrobatic climbs on tufas and overhangs, have recently been developed by the new generation of sport climbers in the neighbor valleys.
Finale Ligure has beautiful beaches and a pleasant shopping street. The central point of reference is however Finalborgo, the charming old castle. Here climbing days start with an Italian coffee at Bar Centrale and finish with a traditional meal at the Spaghetteria, followed by amazing ice creams.
Rest days from climbing can be spent on the beach, mountain biking or just eating pizza and ice cream…
