From the last lift we ascent to the Argentiere refuge.

Its a gereat place to be in the evenings.

Lots of memories, discussing ski descents and climbs with friends...

...while the sun is setting over the Aiguille Rouges.

The next moring we leave early. While we are still walking in the cold, we look jealously on the first sun rays on the north east facing mountain side of the Argentiere basin.

2 hours of skinning, climbing up a small colouir...

...lead us up to col Superieur du Tour Noir.

Sunshine!!! At 8.30am we reach the col.

Time to relax...

...watch the Italien friends ski off the Courtes behind us...

...and have a second breakfast.

From here we get a good look at the Grand Lui and his west face where we skied 3 days ago.

From the summit of Grand Lui we could see well over to where we are now having our second breakfast and the face we will ski.

Some fun steep turns in good spring snow...

...bring us down to the Glacier de la Neuve.

Now its cruising time, in perfect spring conditions with Aiguille d'Amône and Mont Dolent in the background...

What a place! Steph is certainly enjoying himself!

...all the way!

We get to ski all the way to La Fouly. The last few meters are a bit patchy. The flowers are out. Don't step on them.

Its still early, but not too early for a little beer!
