On the second day of our 5-day Mt Blanc course the weather clears at lunch time and we are the first team to descent the ridge from the Aiguille du Midi.
We find very snowy conditions and decide to climb the aręte Laurence, just below the Cosmiques refuge.
Great views onto the Bosson glacier...
and fun climbing for us.
At 4 o'clock we arrive at the Cosmiques refuge,...
...our home for this night.
Great views and a good food!
On our third day we climb the Cosmiques ridge.
There he is, waiting for us in the background - Mont Blanc.
We decide to climb via the Goutier side, as there is too high avalanche danger to ascend from the Cosmiques refuge.
Starting at 1am from the Tete Rousse refuge, we are at the Vallot bivac by sunrise. For lunch time there is another weather front forecasted...
At 8 o'clock we reach the summit of Mont Blanc. Happy but tired!
The clouds are mooving in quickly, time to go down.
| When descending the Bosses ridge the summit is already covered in clouds. At 5pm we are back in Chamonix, we had a great, fun week!
