On the first day we set of to learn to use crampons and ice axe. We are now climbing down the leathers leading from the Montenvers train station onto the Mer de glace.

Careful first steps on the ice for Marzena and Siri. The axe is still in the wrong hand, but all ten points of the crampons are in the ice!

The whole team on the Mer de Glace, in the back ground you see the Grande Jorasses. It is very important to have good crampoon technique when climbing Mont Blanc.

On our second day we climb the cosmiques ridge. Robby, Marzena and Kerstin climbing behind us.

The plan is to use all techniques we have learned yesterday and practise all day long.
