Mounain Spirit Guiding
hiking Austria We are in the southern part of Austria, right on the Slovenian boarder. Wilfried and Markus on the Lärchrücken just before we start climbing.
Via Ferrata Slovenian border Harness, climbing helmet and a Via Ferrata set and up we go. Wilfried on the start of our climb.
climbing via ferrata Fun climbing, but not too difficult!
via ferrata Lärchrücken After and 1h45 we get to the first tower where the new via Ferrata and the classic route via Lärchrücken come together. Markus posing.
Lärchturm summit A little bit of walking and high up in the sun our first summit of the day - the Lärchturm.
via ferrata adventure The second part of the via Ferrata is steeper and a little more difficult...

via ferrata routes On the top you can choose between two variations,
via ferrata Austria We choose the more difficult one and are now getting close to the summit of the Lärchturm. Wilfried, Eva, Markus and me the photographer.

summit ridge Lärchturm ...and at 10.30 we reach the summit of the Lärchturm. In the background the Koschutnikturm, our next goal of the day.
border Austria-Slovenia We have descended from the Lärchturm and are now on the way up to the Lärchberg, looking back onto our first the summit the Lärchturm.
via Ferrata Klagenfurt Just before the Summit of the Lärchberg...
hiking Slovenia ...we cross the boarder to Slowenia.
via Ferrata Koschutnikturm On our right the grassy slopes towards Sowenia and on the left the rocky Austrian side. In the far back you see the Koschutnikturm our 3rd summit of the day.
mountain flowers Beautiful flowers and great views in all directions.
descent Koschutnikturm At 12.30 we are on our descent back to the Koschutahaus from where we started. The Koschutnikturm behind us and a large Austrian beer and some taditional lunch ahead. Life is good!
